Trust & registration
- Is Ogochukwu Helping Hands Foundation a registered organisation?
- Yes. Ogochukwu Helping Hands Foundation is registered as a corporate body with the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under registration number 8190659, incorporated on 17th January 2025. Our Tax Identification Number is 32698011-0001. The full Certificate of Incorporation is published on our Transparency page so anybody can read it for themselves.
- How can I verify the foundation is genuine?
- Search the Corporate Affairs Commission public register using registration number 8190659, and confirm the Tax Identification Number 32698011-0001 with the Federal Inland Revenue Service. You can also scan the QR code printed on our certificate. If you would like to go further, ask us for our distribution records, or ask to attend a distribution day unannounced — we will tell you where the next one is.
- Who runs the foundation?
- The founder is Okafor Vivien Nwabuogochukwu, known to her community as Nurse Vivian or Ogochukwu. The trustees named on the CAC registration are Vivien Okafor, Mmaduabuchi Oloto and Nzube Anachunam.
- Is there a charity home or office I can visit in Lagos?
- Yes. Our registered office is at 4 John Okafor Crescent, Ilasamaja, Lagos, and you are welcome to come and see us. Our work is not confined to the office — we run food distributions, medical outreaches and borehole projects in communities across Nigeria, and we visit families in their own homes rather than asking them to travel to us.
- Where is the foundation based?
- Our registered office is at 4 John Okafor Crescent, Ilasamaja, Lagos 102214. We work nationwide, from Lagos market streets to rural communities far from any clinic or clean water point.

Asking for help
- How do I apply for help from the foundation?
- Send us a WhatsApp message or call +234 811 400 8635 and tell us plainly what is happening. You do not need an introduction, a letter, or anybody important to speak for you. Somebody will come and see you. We cannot promise to solve everything, but we can promise you will not be ignored.
- Do you charge any fee to apply for help?
- No. No application fee is ever charged, for anything. If anybody asks you to pay a fee in our name, it is not us — report it to us immediately on +234 811 400 8635.
- Is there a deadline to apply?
- No. There is no deadline. Requests are received all year round, and we are open to applicants from every country.
- What kind of help does the foundation give?
- We pay children's school fees, feed families, provide clothing, protect the vulnerable, mother the motherless, supply medicines and health outreach, support widows and elders, sink boreholes for clean water, and give families the capital and stock to stand on their own.

Giving & partnership
- How do I donate to Ogochukwu Helping Hands Foundation?
- Message us on WhatsApp at +234 811 400 8635 and we will share our official giving details person to person. We do this deliberately, so that every gift can be acknowledged, recorded and matched to the work it funded — and so nobody is ever misled by an account that is not ours.
- Will the foundation ever ask me to send money to a personal account?
- Never. We will never ask you to send money to a personal account, and we will never pressure you to give quickly. If somebody contacts you claiming to represent us and something feels wrong, stop and verify with us first.
- Can I give goods instead of money?
- Yes, and it helps just as much. Foodstuffs, clothing, school materials, medical supplies and transport all reach people as quickly as money does. Tell us what you have and we will arrange collection.
- Can my company or church partner with the foundation?
- Yes. We work with corporate social responsibility programmes, churches, mosques, schools, market associations and community groups, and we are comfortable with formal reporting on grant-funded projects. Call +234 811 400 8635 or +234 803 319 6023 to start the conversation.
- How do I know my donation was actually used?
- We keep records because the families we serve deserve to be counted properly. Ask us for the distribution records and receipts for any period and we will provide them. We also film our outreaches, and publish them on our YouTube channel and TikTok.

Volunteering
- Can I volunteer with the foundation?
- Yes. Volunteers are welcome on distribution days, in logistics and transport, in teaching and tutoring, in medical outreach, and in administration and photography. Bring whatever you have — hands are enough.
- Do volunteers wear anything to identify them?
- Yes. Our team wears the Helping Hands Foundation shirt on every outreach. It is not branding, it is accountability: a family should always be able to identify, question, thank — or report — the person standing in front of them.
